Oluremi Tinubu's Food Support Initiative Commended

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, received commendation from Hajiya Hadiza Muhammad Abdullahi, the former First Lady of Bauchi State, for her efforts in providing food support to vulnerable Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI). This commendation occurred during an interview in Bauchi at the formal presentation of food items under the RHI’s Food Outreach Scheme.

The initiative aims to assist persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, thereby enhancing their well-being and supporting their families. Hadiza noted that the outreach scheme complements the federal government's efforts to tackle food insecurity and socio-economic challenges.

The program has extended to 29 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Hadiza also praised the two donors who supported the initiative and highlighted the importance of the National Community Food Bank Programme in combating child malnutrition.

She expressed optimism that the initiative would significantly relieve beneficiaries and contribute to reducing hunger among vulnerable Nigerians.
