Oluremi Tinubu Launches Food Outreach in Ondo State

On Tuesday, the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, extended the Renewed Hope Initiative's Food Outreach Scheme to Ondo State, providing food support to hundreds of vulnerable residents. The distribution took place at the International Culture and Event Centre (The Dome) in Akure and is part of the initiative's Social Investment Programme aimed at improving access to nutritious food.

Represented by Hajia Nana Shettima, the First Lady emphasized the program's commitment to reducing hunger and child malnutrition. Launched in March 2024, the Food Outreach Scheme targets persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups nationwide, sustained by monthly donations of two truckloads of food items from ASR Africa and an anonymous donor.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa praised the initiative as a demonstration of the Federal Government's commitment to poverty reduction and social inclusion, aligning it with his administration’s “OUR EASE” Development Agenda. He assured continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
