Kwara Governor Distributes 320 Mosquito Nets to Students

On Tuesday, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq officially flagged off the distribution of 320 mosquito nets to students at Queen Elizabeth School in Ilorin. This initiative is part of the Universal Basic Education Commission's (UBEC) direct intervention program, aimed at improving educational resources for students.

The event, held at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) headquarters, was attended by various stakeholders, including Prof. Mamman Saba Jibril, who represented the Secretary to the State Government, and Dr.

Aisha Garba, the Executive Secretary of UBEC. Governor Abdulrazaq emphasized his administration's commitment to investing heavily in education.

He highlighted the importance of quality educational materials in enhancing teaching and learning outcomes. Prof.

Sheu Adaramaja, part chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board, noted that the federal and state governments are prioritizing strategic investments to improve basic education delivery. The distribution of these resources signifies a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to strengthen educational delivery in the state.
