Omokri Defends Tinubu's Age with 1996 Photo Evidence

Reno Omokri, serving as Nigeria's Ambassador Designate to Mexico, has engaged in the debate regarding President Bola Tinubu's age by presenting a photograph taken in London in 1996, featuring himself and media personality Dele Momodu. Omokri asserted that the image was unaltered and could be verified by Momodu.

He posed a rhetorical question about Tinubu's alleged age of 90, suggesting that if true, Tinubu would have been around 60 years old in the photo, which he argued does not align with the appearance of the man in the image. Omokri also referenced the late fuji musician Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, who referred to Tinubu as his "Aburo," or younger brother, in a song, noting that Barrister would be 78 years old today, further questioning the age claims.

Omokri criticized the practice of age-shaming public figures and urged Nigerians to focus on substantive political issues instead of personal attacks.
