Falola Leads Book Presentation for Doyin Aguoru at UI

On Wednesday, Professor Toyin Falola led a book presentation and conversation for Doyin Aguoru's book titled "Feminism in African Global Voices" at the University of Ibadan. Falola described Aguoru as a distinguished author who has moved away from Western feminist theories.

Professor Ademola Da Silva praised Aguoru's intellectual capabilities and her organizational skills during the conference. Falola encouraged older generations of writers to support emerging authors, emphasizing the need for mentorship in the literary world.

Dr. Olatokunbo Awolowo Dosumu, chairman of African Newspapers Nigeria, paid tribute to Aguoru's academic prowess, noting that her work reflects societal challenges and aims to preserve future generations.

Aguoru shared that her inspiration for writing stemmed from societal issues, particularly the genocide in Uganda, and the plight of refugees. She aims to address various challenges faced by women, including fertility issues, through her literary contributions.
