Rep Accuses FG of Neglect as Gully Erosion Threatens Kano Community

Hon. Mohammed Shehu, a member of the House of Representatives representing Fagge Federal Constituency, has accused the Federal Government of neglect as gully erosion ravages the Kwanar Gogo community in Kano.

Shehu warned that the community may soon be completely submerged if urgent intervention is not provided. Despite repeated appeals, the ecological disaster has persisted for two decades without a lasting solution, putting lives and property at risk.

Shehu expressed concern over the lack of meaningful action despite inspections and surveys conducted by the Ecological Fund Office. He also raised transparency and accountability concerns regarding the reported N2 billion Ecological Fund allocation to Kano State.
