Tinubu, China Harbour Boost Shabu-Lafia-Makurdi Bypass

Hon. Jafaaru Yakubu, Chairman of the House Committee on Nigeria-China Parliamentary Friendship, commended President Bola Tinubu and China Harbour Engineering Company for their efforts on the Shabu-Lafia-Makurdi bypass project.

He described the project as a landmark achievement that reflects President Tinubu's determination to revive abandoned infrastructure. Yakubu noted that the bypass had been long neglected by previous administrations and emphasized the urgency of Tinubu's leadership in advancing the project, which aims to ease traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and strengthen economic activities in Nasarawa and Benue states.

He highlighted that the construction has already improved security in the area by increasing the presence of workers and equipment, deterring criminal activities, and making the route safer for commuters and traders. Yakubu expressed optimism that the bypass would transform daily life for traders and farmers, providing easier access to markets and smoother transport of produce.

He reiterated the importance of Nigeria's partnership with China, showcasing tangible results from bilateral cooperation.
