ACF Urges Nationwide Replication of Oriire Rescue Model

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to replicate the intelligence-led operation that successfully rescued 44 abducted pupils and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area in Oyo State after 56 days in captivity. This operation involved multiple security agencies, including the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Police Force, National Intelligence Agency, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Amotekun Corps, and local hunters, and was executed without the payment of ransom.

The ACF emphasizes that every Nigerian child deserves the same urgency and operational excellence demonstrated in the Oriire rescue. Senator Ali Ndume supported this appeal, particularly for Borno, where many citizens remain captives of terrorists.

The ACF's demand highlights the need for intelligence, local cooperation, and community trust in counter-insurgency efforts, as military power alone is insufficient against terrorism. The differing security conditions across Nigeria necessitate a tailored approach to replicate the success of the Oriire operation nationwide.
