IPCR Commends Tinubu for Successful Rescue of Abducted Pupils

The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) issued a statement on Saturday, praising President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria's security chiefs for the successful rescue of abducted pupils and a teacher from Oriire Local Government Area in Oyo State. Dr.

Joseph Ochogwu, the IPCR's Director General, emphasized the federal government's commitment to strengthening the country's security architecture. The operation was described as a major breakthrough in the fight against kidnapping, banditry, and violent crime.

The IPCR acknowledged the efforts of the Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, National Security Adviser, Inspector General of Police, and Oyo State government personnel involved in the operation. The safe return of the victims after several weeks in captivity brought relief to their families and the community.

The IPCR called for sustained collaboration among federal and state governments, security institutions, and local communities to tackle evolving security challenges and ensure the safety of educational institutions.
