Renowned writer Chimamanda Adichie has denied reports claiming her appointment as a visiting professor at UNN, calling the information entirely false. The false reports alleged that the Vice-Chancellor of UNN, Prof.

Simon Ortuya, appointed Adichie, along with Prof. Kevin Urama and Prof.

James Robinson. In a statement debunking the appointment, Adichie's communication team, signed by Omawumi Ogb, urged the public to disregard the misinformation.

The University's Public Relations Officer also clarified that the appointment was not part of the administration's efforts to enhance the global academic stage.
