Taraba APC Denies Automatic Ticket Claims for 2027 Elections

The Taraba State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports suggesting that Governor Agbu Kefa has endorsed serving members of the National Assembly for automatic tickets ahead of the 2027 general elections. APC spokesman Aaron Artima described these claims as misleading and inaccurate, stressing that no final decisions have been made regarding the emergence of candidates for electoral positions.

Artima clarified that the party is following internal democratic procedures, which involve the establishment of three consensus committees across the state’s senatorial zones. These committees are tasked with facilitating consultations among party stakeholders to ensure a transparent and peaceful process leading up to the elections.

He urged party members and the public to disregard speculation about automatic ticket endorsements already being granted to serving lawmakers. The APC reaffirmed its commitment to fair and inclusive processes in selecting candidates for the 2027 polls.
