Nigerian Resident Doctors Dismiss Ministry's Claims, Strike Continues

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has refuted the Ministry of Labour's assertions of significant progress in resolving their grievances, emphasizing that the strike will persist. NARD expressed disappointment with the Ministry's statement, highlighting that none of their 19 core demands have been fully met.

They criticized the delay in payments and the Ministry's portrayal of progress as mere promises pending approval. Additionally, NARD pointed out the outstanding arrears owed to doctors in federal institutions like Lokoja, FMC Owo, and the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.
