Fire Outbreak in Jalingo: Residents Escape Injury

On a recent date, a fire outbreak occurred in Jalingo, Taraba State, affecting part of a twin residential building. Fortunately, residents narrowly escaped injury, and no casualties were reported.

The incident involved two buildings, with the Federal Fire Service responding promptly to the distress call. Sylvanu Mikailu, an official from the Federal Fire Service Taraba State Command, disclosed that firefighting crews, led by Asfii Bruno Nsame, successfully contained and extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to an adjoining building.

The property saved is estimated to be worth approximately 52 million naira. Yakubu Dungu, a state control officer, advised residents to strictly adhere to fire safety measures and to promptly alert the fire service in case of emergencies.

Residents were provided with contact information for the Federal Fire Service Taraba Command for future emergencies.
