Retired Police Chiefs Support Disu's Appointment as IGP

Retired police chiefs have rallied behind Senior Disu's appointment as the new Inspector General of Police, following Kayode Egbetokun's announcement on Tuesday. Retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ali Amodu, emphasized the importance of maintaining traditional hierarchy and discipline within the Nigeria Police Force.

He noted that the expected resignations of Deputy Inspector Generals and Assistant Inspectors General are part of a normal leadership transition aimed at injecting fresh ideas into the system. Retired AIG Wilson Inalegwu commended Egbetokun's service and drew parallels to sports, highlighting the need for a robust and intellectually capable management team.

Similarly, retired DIG Adedayo Adeoy congratulated Disu and stressed the importance of discipline in administration. Retired AIG Lawrence Alobi expressed confidence in Disu's capabilities, describing him as a seasoned officer with the necessary operational capacity to lead the force effectively.
