APC Accuses Atiku Abubakar of Threatening Nigeria's Reserves

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), for his proposal to reinstate the fuel subsidy regime if elected. APC's National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, claimed that Abubakar's shift from supporting subsidy removal to advocating for its return is motivated by a desire to exploit Nigeria's foreign reserves, which currently exceed $54 billion.

Morka referenced President Bola Tinubu's economic reforms that have significantly increased these reserves. He further cited former President Olusegun Obasanjo's criticisms of Abubakar, labeling him as corrupt and unfit for public office.

Obasanjo previously stated that selecting Abubakar as his running mate in 1999 was his biggest mistake. The APC urged voters to reject Abubakar in the upcoming elections, framing the election as a chance to prevent what they described as his "ravenous plunder" of the nation's resources.
