ADC Nominates David Okumgba as Deputy Governorship Candidate

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially nominated David Okumgba as its deputy governorship candidate for the upcoming 2027 general elections in Rivers State. This announcement was made by the state chairman of the party, Chukwudi Dimgba, in a statement released on Tuesday.

Dimgba affirmed Okumgba's nomination to run alongside the party's governorship candidate, former Secretary of Rivers State, Dr. Gabriel Pidomson.

In his statement, Pidomson described Okumgba as a politician with exceptional leadership qualities and extensive experience in the political sector. The ADC chairman further stated that the Okumgba ticket represents a competitive experience and a shared vision for a new Rivers State, urging the people of the oil-rich state to support their candidacy.

Okumgba's political background includes serving as the South-South Zonal Secretary of a major political party and as the Public Secretary of the Zonal Appeal Committee for senatorial primaries in Edo State. The ADC expresses confidence that the Pidomson-Okumgba ticket will provide the leadership and integrity required to advance the state.
