Rivers APC Suspends Fubara Over Alleged Misconduct

The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Fubara, a prominent member from Bonny Local Government Area, due to alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct. This decision was made by the ward 4 executive committee during a meeting held on March 16.

The committee's resolution, signed by the ward secretary Donald Jumbo and 21 executive members, cites Fubara's actions as a breach of the APC constitution, specifically Article 21(2)(ii)(vii), which addresses party discipline. Concurrently, Dagogo, another party member, has announced plans to take legal action against the APC in the Federal High Court in Abuja.

He claims he was unfairly blocked from running for the position of national vice chairman for the South-South zone despite paying a nomination fee of 5.1 million naira. Dagogo seeks a court order to halt the APC's plans for a zonal congress and demands 100 million naira in damages for perceived marginalization.
