Fubara Appoints New SSG and Chief of Staff in Rivers

Wokoma as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Barrister Sunni Ewul as Chief of Staff. These appointments take effect immediately and are part of a broader political maneuver following a recent cabinet dissolution that saw the dismissal of eight commissioners and special advisers.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary Onwuka Nzeshi and noted that the new appointees are scheduled to be sworn in at 2:00 PM today, February 26, 2026, at the Executive Council Chamber in Government House, Port Harcourt. Dr.

Wokoma replaces Mr. Benibo Anabraba, while Barrister Ewul takes over from Edison Ehi Ehi.
