Rivers High Court Announces Annual Vacation Dates

The Rivers High Court, under the leadership of Chief Judge Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, has announced that it will commence its annual vacation on July 20, with normal court sessions set to resume on September 16. This announcement was made in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Tuesday by the Chief Registrar of the court, Mr.

David Ihua Maduenyi. The vacation is in accordance with Order 49 Rule 4 of the High Court of Rivers State Civil Procedure Rule 2023, which has been amended.

During this annual vacation, the judiciary division across the state will remain closed; however, arrangements have been made to address urgent cases that require immediate judicial attention. These measures aim to ensure continued access to justice and prevent delays in time-sensitive cases.

The annual court vacation is a standard practice within the judiciary designed to enhance the efficient administration of justice.
