Rivers Assembly Probes Finances During Ibas' Tenure as Sole Administrator

The Rivers State House of Assembly has initiated a probe into the finances of the state during Ibok-Ete Ibas' tenure as the sole administrator. Lawmakers are also requesting Governor Siminalayi Fubara to provide a list of nominees for Commissioners for vetting.

The Assembly reconvened after the lifting of the emergency rule by President Bola Tinubu, following a period of political crisis in the state. The suspension of the state of emergency saw the return to democratic processes in Rivers State.
