Cristiano Ronaldo Acquires 25% Stake in Almeria

Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Thursday that he has acquired a 25% stake in the Spanish second division club Almeria, which is owned by a Saudi group. This strategic investment reflects Ronaldo's long-term commitment to football ownership.

The acquisition was facilitated through his company, CR7 Sport Invest, although no financial details of the deal were disclosed. Almeria has not been in the Spanish top flight since 2024 and is currently positioned for automatic promotion in the Spanish second division.

Moham Al Khereiji, Almeria's president, indicated that Ronaldo may become involved in the club's youth program, leveraging his understanding of the Spanish league to build on the club's potential. Ronaldo, who plays for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, became the first footballer to be included in Bloomberg's billionaire index last October.

He has recently returned to the first team and scored four times in the last three games, with plans to participate in the upcoming World Cup next summer.
