Ronaldo's Last Chance for Asian Champions League Glory

Cristiano Ronaldo, the 41-year-old forward for Al Nassr, is set to compete in the Asian Champions League, which begins on Monday. He indicated in August that this season might be his last in football.

Despite his illustrious career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, the Asian Champions League has eluded him. Al Nassr, under new coach Ange Postecoglou, features notable players such as Kingsley Coman, Sadio Mane, and Joao Felix.

The team currently ranks second in the Saudi Pro League, trailing Al Hilal on goal difference. Al Hilal, coached by Simone Inzaghi, poses a significant challenge for Ronaldo, having made substantial signings, including Ollie Watkins and Gabriel Martinelli for a total of $150 million.

The Asian Champions League format favors Saudi teams, which will host the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals in a centralized location. Al Nassr, Al Ahli, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, and Al Qadsiah represent Saudi Arabia among the 32 teams in the competition.
