Rufai Reveals Monthly Salaries of Nigerian Ambassadors, Basic Pay Ranges from 800,000 to 1,200,000 Naira

Rufai disclosed the monthly salaries of newly nominated Nigerian Ambassadors, including former INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu, Reno Omokri, and former Enugu Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. The salaries range from 800,000 to 1,200,000 Naira, with additional allowances for postings abroad.

The basic annual pay falls between 9.6 million to 14.4 million Naira, with extra support covering living costs and official duties. These figures are in line with top officials' earnings in the public service.

The salary structure is based on the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with adjustments for inflation and minimum wage.
