Runsewe Praises NANTA on 50th Anniversary for Tourism Growth

Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, the former Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), praised the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agents (NANTA) for its significant contributions to the growth of tourism in Nigeria as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. In his statement, Runsewe highlighted the crucial role that travel journalists play in developing the tourism sector, noting their ability to shape perceptions and create awareness about Nigeria's destinations.

He expressed happiness that NANTA recognizes the contributions of Nigerian journalists and writers in tourism. Frank Meke, the Managing Director of Cre8tiv Naija Media Group, also acknowledged NANTA's understanding of the importance of travel journalism in fostering market development for Nigeria's tourism industry.

Runsewe emphasized the need for positive partnerships and interactions to enhance Nigeria's position on the global tourism map, underscoring the importance of travel journalism in boosting local economies and businesses.
