NANTA Celebrates 50th AGM, Honors Aviation Journalists

The Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) held its 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) from April 14-18, 2026, in Ibadan, celebrating its golden jubilee under the theme "Embrace Diverse Cultural Heritage." The event aimed to redefine the role of global travel ambassadors and deepen economic and cultural engagement within the western zone, reinforcing Nigeria's position in the global travel ecosystem. During the AGM, LAAC received a special recognition award for its sustained contributions to advancing Nigeria's aviation tourism travel sector.

The award was presented by Mr. Adelola Adewol, Public Relations Officer of NANTA, on behalf of the association.

Anthony Awunor, the General Secretary, represented Chairman Sulaiman Idri and expressed appreciation for the honor, emphasizing the importance of media engagement in developing policies. Yinka Folami, re-elected as president, highlighted NANTA's 50-year legacy and its commitment to advocating for industry standards and regulatory compliance among its 3,500 members.
