Russia Welcomes Nigeria's New Ambassador in Moscow

On Friday, a meeting took place in Moscow where Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Borisenko Evgenievich welcomed Nigeria's newly appointed Ambassador to Russia, Joseph Iji Dure. The meeting, as revealed by Daria Senyushina from the Russian Embassy in Nigeria, aimed to address key issues surrounding the advancement of the long-standing cordial relationship between Nigeria and Russia.

The discussions focused on enhancing political engagement and expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including trade, economic development, science, technology, and humanitarian affairs. The diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Russia have been robust for six decades, dating back to the era of the former Soviet Union, with both nations maintaining embassies in Abuja and Lagos.
