Russian Drone Attacks Kill Civilians in Ukraine

On Friday, Russian drone attacks in Ukraine led to the deaths of at least two civilians in the Dnipropetrovsk region, specifically in the city of Nikopol, where a drone struck a minibus. This attack resulted in at least twelve injuries, including two children, prompting emergency services to rush to the scene and transport victims to nearby hospitals.

The situation in Nikopol is critical, as it lies across the Dnipro River from Russian-occupied areas surrounding the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which has been subjected to repeated shelling and drone attacks since the early stages of the war. Additionally, in the northeastern Sumi region, a separate drone attack killed one man in a village near the regional capital.

Local authorities reported that Sumi has become increasingly vulnerable to Russian attacks due to its proximity to the border, with numerous drone, missile, and artillery strikes targeting civilian infrastructure and transport facilities in recent weeks.
