Russian Drone Strikes Kill 13 in Kyiv Amid Escalating Conflict

On Thursday, Russian drone attacks on Kyiv killed at least 13 people and wounded 86 others, as reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko. The attacks occurred in the early hours following a series of explosions heard across central Kyiv.

President Volodymyr Zelenski warned of a potential massive attack from Russia, urging citizens to protect themselves, especially children. The Ukrainian Air Force reported intercepting 48 missiles and 476 drones during the assault.

Zelenski cut short his visit to Dublin due to intelligence reports of an impending Russian strike. He emphasized the importance of air defense and called for immediate support from allies.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant military casualties for Russia, with a recent study indicating two million military casualties. Despite efforts by the US to broker peace, Russia has shown a complete refusal to end the war, with Zelenski stating Ukraine is ready for negotiations but remains vigilant against further aggression.
