Super Falcons Set for February Friendlies Against Cameroon

The Nigerian women's national football team, known as the Super Falcons, is set to play two friendly matches against Cameroon on February 24 and March 3, 2024, in Yaoundé. These matches are scheduled during the FIFA women's international window and are part of the team's preparation for the 2026 Women Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026.

The Super Falcons, who are the reigning champions and have won the tournament a record 10 times, aim to secure their spot in the next FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. Dr.

Mohammed Sanusi, the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), confirmed the arrangements for the friendlies in collaboration with Isaac Mandong, the General Secretary of Fecafoot, Cameroon. The two federations hope to strengthen their partnership through these matches, which will help the Super Falcons maintain momentum ahead of the tournament.
