Sahara Group Supports UNILAG Research with $36,000 Grant for Human Capital Development

Sahara Group has provided a $36,000 grant to support research at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) aimed at sustaining and developing human capital growth in Africa. The grant will be distributed among three academic beneficiaries at UNILAG, namely Prof. Sundai Adebisi, Dr. Victor Odumuyiwa, and Prof. Abdul Hame Sulaimon.

The grant initiatives will focus on addressing youth unemployment, promoting digital inclusion, and enhancing governance within the academic sector. Bethel Obioma, Sahara Group's Head of Corporate Communications, highlighted the importance of the grant in driving economic growth and supporting practical academic solutions.

Prof. Folashade Ogunsola, the Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, described the initiative as a catalyst for innovation within the institution, emphasizing the value of collaboration between academia and the private sector. Ejiro Grai, Sahara Group's Director of Government Sustainability, emphasized the project's scalability and measurable outcomes, aiming to drive sustainable development across Africa.
