Mohamed Salah Becomes Highest-Paid Player at Trabzonspor

Mohamed Salah has joined Trabzonspor as a free agent, with his unveiling scheduled for today at 5:30 PM local time. He becomes the highest-paid player in the Turkish Super Lig, earning a reported one-year net salary of €17 million after tax, along with 20% of merchandise revenue linked to his image and performance bonuses.

Previously, Nigerian Victor Osimhen held the title with a net salary of €15 million plus bonuses. Salah's contract, revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, is a one-year deal with an option for an additional year, extending his stay until 2028.

Salah's wages will be partially covered by corporate sponsors, as Trabzonspor is not among the wealthiest clubs in Turkey. Salah left Liverpool after nine years, where he scored 257 goals and won multiple titles, including two Premier League titles and the Champions League.

He will play European football with Trabzonspor next season after their third-place finish in the league.
