Salah's Brace Leads Trabzonspor to 2-1 Victory

Mohamed Salah scored a brace in his first Turkish Super Lig start for Trabzonspor, securing a 2-1 victory against Istanbul Basaksehir on Saturday. The 34-year-old Egyptian forward, who joined Trabzonspor on a two-year deal after leaving Liverpool on a free transfer, opened his account for the club in his third appearance.

Salah capitalized on a mistake by Basaksehir goalkeeper Muhammed Sengezer to give Trabzonspor the lead, with his shot deflecting in off the post. Basaksehir equalized through Eldor Shomurodov's penalty, but Salah quickly restored Trabzonspor's advantage with a first-time finish from 10 yards.

Salah had a chance for a hat-trick in injury time with a shot from 45 yards, which was ruled out for offside. He was also booked for simulation earlier in the second half.

Salah's two goals provided Trabzonspor with crucial points as they continue their campaign in the league.
