Suleman Sani Joins Al-Qadsiah After Leipzig Exit

Suleman Sani, a 20-year-old Nigerian winger, has completed a transfer to Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah after a brief tenure at German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, where he did not make any competitive appearances. Sani joined Leipzig from Slovakian club AS Trenčín in January for approximately €5 million but struggled to secure a place in the first team due to injuries and intense competition.

He trained with Leipzig’s youth side during August and was not included in the senior squad for the opening match of the 2026/27 Bundesliga season. The transfer to Al-Qadsiah, completed on the final day of Saudi Arabia’s transfer window, is reported to be worth up to €8 million, with Sani expected to sign a three-year contract that includes an option for an additional season.

This move presents Sani with a new opportunity to revive his career and achieve regular first-team football, while Leipzig stands to make a profit from his departure.
