NFF Supports World Soccer Legends in Cancer Fight

On Thursday, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), affirmed the federation's commitment to supporting the global fight against cancer.

This declaration was made during a courtesy visit from members of the organizing committee of the World Soccer Legends' War Against Cancer at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. Dr.

Sanusi expressed his admiration for the high-profile individuals championing this cause, including Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye and Alhassan Yakmut.

He emphasized the NFF's readiness to assist in any capacity to combat the devastating effects of cancer on society. Mr.

Jacon Onu, the national coordinator of the program, highlighted the involvement of relevant agencies, including the Ministry of Health and the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment. The event is scheduled for October 3, coinciding with World Cancer Day, and aims to raise awareness through a charity match featuring renowned African soccer legends.
