Sanusi Leads Sallah Durbar; Bayero Holds Parallel Eid Prayer

On Eid al-Fitr, Sanusi led the Sallah durbar in Kano, where thousands attended the prayer, including Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Secretary to the State Government Umar Farouk Ibrahim. Although Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo was absent, NNPP leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was present.

Sanusi addressed the crowd at Kofar Kwaru, thanking Allah for the completion of Ramadan and urging residents to maintain virtues such as patience, charity, and discipline. He warned youth against violence and encouraged the pursuit of knowledge and skills, while advising traders to avoid arbitrary price hikes.

He also commended Governor Yusuf for his infrastructure projects and urged citizens to support the administration. Meanwhile, the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, held a separate Eid prayer at the Nasarawa Palace, which attracted a large crowd.

Bayero thanked Allah for Ramadan and called for unity, law-abiding conduct, and peaceful coexistence, amidst a calm atmosphere in the city despite tight security.
