Sanwo-Olu Appoints New Permanent Secretaries in Lagos

On April 2, 2026, Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu announced the appointment of seven new permanent secretaries in the state public service. This initiative aims to strengthen governance and improve policy implementation.

The appointed individuals include Dr. Babajid Olumuyiwa Martins, Engr.

Adetunji Adeyemi Adesanya, Mr. Bukonla Olusola Durodola, Mr.

Oluwatoyin Olubunmi Oladeji, Mr. Tiwalad Adeyinka Sorungb, Architect Bolanle Monica Olukareh, and Dr.

Adenik Oluwafunmilayo Oluwo. All appointees previously held senior director-level positions across various ministries and agencies and have been promoted to grade level 17.

The appointments are set to take effect on April 24, 2026, with specific post deployments to be announced later. The circular was signed by Mr.

Bode Agoro, the head of service, who urged relevant authorities to give the announcement wide publicity and wished the new permanent secretaries success in their tenures.
