Ibrahim Saliu Installed as Onise of Ise Kingdom, Lagos

The Lagos State Government formally installed Ibrahim Saliu as the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Ibeju-Lekki, following the death of his predecessor, Ganiu Adegbesan. The installation took place last Friday, where Saliu received the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment.

The presentation was conducted by Nurudeen Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, and Kikelomo Bolarinwa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, with the approval of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council. The ceremony was attended by various traditional rulers, royal family members, community and religious leaders, lawmakers, and residents.

Agbaje urged Saliu to focus on reconciliation among royal family members and to work towards uniting the community. He emphasized the importance of traditional rulers in maintaining peace and stability, encouraging Saliu to prioritize inclusive development during his reign.

Bolarinwa highlighted the government's commitment to strengthening traditional institutions in grassroots governance.
