Karim Benzema Considers Move to Al-Hilal Amid Contract Dispute at Al-Ittihad

Karim Benzema, the former French international and current player for Al-Ittihad, is contemplating a transfer to Al-Hilal, the league leaders in the Saudi Pro League. Reports suggest that Benzema is in negotiations with Al-Hilal due to ongoing disputes with his current club, Al-Ittihad, over a contract extension offer.

The 38-year-old striker, who joined Al-Ittihad in 2023 after spending 14 seasons at Real Madrid, has scored eight goals in 14 league games this season. Michael Emenalo, the sport director of the Saudi Pro League, is said to have made an offer to Benzema on behalf of Al-Hilal.

Al-Ittihad, based in Jeddah and owned by a Saudi Arabian public investment fund, is reportedly 12 points behind Al-Hilal in the league standings. Al-Ittihad's head coach, Sergio Conceicao, declined to comment on Benzema's absence in recent matches when asked.
