SCAN Condoles NPA Over Photographer Paul Erakhifu's Death

The Ship Correspondents Association of Nigeria (SCAN) has extended heartfelt condolences to the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) following the death of photographer Paul Erakhifu, popularly known as Texa. Erakhifu reportedly collapsed on May 1 while attending a strategic meeting at the NPA and later participated in an excursion in Lagos.

A joint statement signed by SCAN President Mose Ebosel and Secretary Shulammit Olowofoyeku expressed shock and sadness over the sudden passing of the veteran photographer. The association described Erakhifu as a friendly person and a fine talent whose work vividly showcased the activities of the Nigerian Port Authority.

They noted that his dedication and unwavering commitment to his duties created a significant void within the NPA. SCAN offered thoughts and prayers for Erakhifu's family and the management and staff of the NPA during this difficult time, wishing for God's comfort and strength to bear the irreparable loss.
