Dodo Resigns from SDP Ahead of Nasarawa North Elections

Duba Ishaya Dodo, who aspired to represent Nasarawa North in the Senate, has formally resigned from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) effective immediately. In a letter addressed to the SDP chairman of Gudi Ward in Akwanga Local Government Area, dated April 21, 2026, Dodo explained that his decision followed deep reflection on recent developments within the party.

Despite his contributions to the party's growth at various levels, he expressed that he could no longer continue his membership due to a disconnect between his political expectations and the party's current direction. Dodo emphasized that remaining a member would not serve any political purpose, as the party's present structure and internal operations no longer align with his ideals.

He also requested the removal of his name from the party's membership register and official records.
