Nasarawa PDP Chairman Adamu Bako Resigns Over Differences

Adamu Bako, the suspended chairman of the Nasarawa State People's Democratic Party (PDP), announced his resignation from the party in a letter dated April 15, 2026, addressed to the PDP ward chairman in Agyaga, Akwanga Local Government Area. In his letter, Bako described the decision as difficult but necessary, emphasizing the need for peace and safety in politics.

He expressed that he must identify a political platform that aligns with his leadership principles and vision. Despite his exit from the PDP, Bako noted his commitment to the party over the years, stating that he has deeply valued and defended it until the final moment of his membership.

His resignation follows his recent suspension from the party due to allegations of gross misconduct and anti-party activities.
