SECOND LIFE FOR WARRI STADIUM

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is transforming the iconic Warri Township Stadium, aiming to revive Delta's sporting soul and spur economic growth. The project, employing 176 youth, includes a football pitch, swimming pool, and indoor sport hall, aligning with global standards.

Due to limited land, the decision to reconstruct the existing stadium reflects pragmatic use of space. The project, led by contractor Peculiar Concern Limited, is not only creating jobs but also serving as a training ground for aspiring engineers and technicians.

The completed stadium is expected to become a commercial and cultural hub, hosting various events. With Warri Wolves Football Club qualifying for the Premier League, the timing of the stadium reconstruction is opportune, igniting local enthusiasm.
