Nigeria's Minister Assures Public on Security Efforts

This statement comes in the wake of a tragic incident in Maiduguri, where a blast on Monday killed 20 people and injured 100 others at the entrance of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital and nearby areas.

Idris firmly rejected claims that the country's security forces have failed, asserting that significant improvements in peace and stability have been observed in Maiduguri. He highlighted the government's commitment to ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing national security.

Additionally, Idris noted the potential global implications of tensions in the Middle East on Nigeria and reaffirmed the country's readiness to support international stability, particularly in the energy sector.
