Security Forces Abduct PDP Candidate and 25 Others in Kaduna, Sparking Outrage

The Kaduna State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) accused security forces loyal to Governor Uba Sani of abducting their House of Reps candidate, Princess Esther Ashivelli Dawaki, and 25 others. The incident involved a joint security task force operation storming a hotel in Kaduna to arrest PDP members, including the campaign council chairman.

The PDP called for intervention from top officials and condemned the actions as a blatant attack on democracy ahead of the Chikun-Kajuru Federal Constituency bye-election. The party urged civil society groups to rise against such abuse of state power.
