Security Forces Kill Five Bandits, Rescue 32 Victims

Security forces in Katsina State conducted an operation that resulted in the killing of five suspected bandits and the rescue of 32 kidnap victims. The operation specifically targeted notorious bandit leader Muhammad Fulani and took place across the local government areas of Matazu, Musawa, Kankia, and Charanchi, which are also part of Kano State.

Dr. Nasir Mu'azu, the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, disclosed this information in a statement made available to newsmen. The rescued victims included 10 women, 9 men, and 13 children.

The operation also led to the recovery of weapons, including one AK-47 rifle, 10 magazines, and nine motorcycles used by the criminal gang. Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda emphasized that the state government does not contemplate negotiating with bandits and is committed to eliminating banditry at all costs.

The ongoing operations aim to target Muhammad Fulani and continue the manhunt across affected areas, encouraging citizens to provide intelligence to support security agencies.
