Security Forces Kill 5 Bandits, Rescue 32 in Katsina

Security operatives in Katsina State successfully killed five bandits and rescued 32 individuals who had been kidnapped. The operation, which took place in the vicinity of the camps of notorious bandit leader Muhammad Fulani, was confirmed by Dr.

Nasir Mu'azu, the Katsina State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs. Among the rescued victims were 10 women, 9 men, and 13 children, who had been held captive by the bandits.

The operation also resulted in the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, 10 magazines, and nine motorcycles allegedly used by the criminal gang. The operation was part of a broader strategy to combat banditry in the region, with the Katsina State government maintaining a firm stance against negotiating with bandits.

A manhunt for Muhammad Fulani is ongoing as security forces continue to apply pressure on criminal hideouts across affected areas.
