Troops Eliminate Bandit Commanders in Katsina Operation

On Friday, Nigerian troops conducted a successful operation in Katsina, eliminating four notorious bandit commanders identified as Bishir Holami, Jamilu Baki, Ibrahim Doro, and Abdurraman Maje. The operation took place at 11:40 AM when troops responded to an armed assault, swiftly overpowering the attackers without sustaining casualties.

The security forces recovered significant items, including an AK-47 rifle with a loaded magazine, five rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, two motorcycles, multiple mobile phones, and cash amounting to N153,400. Additionally, an Android phone containing images of suspects dressed in military gear was recovered for forensic analysis.

The operation dealt a significant setback to bandit leader Muhammadu Fulani, whose network is linked to violent activities across the Matazu, Musawa, Charanchi, and Kankia areas. Dr.

Nasir Mu'azu, the Minister of Internal Security and Home Affairs, highlighted the operation's success and reassured residents of the government's commitment to restoring normalcy and enhancing security in the state.
