Senate Confirms Joseph Tegb as Minister of Power

On Tuesday, the Nigerian Senate confirmed the appointments of Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegb as Minister of Power and Sola Enikanolaiy as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. The confirmation followed a letter from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which was read during a plenary session led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegb, an expert in fiscal and economic reform with 35 years of experience in both public and private sectors, previously served as a senior partner and head of advisory services at KPMG Africa. His nomination came after the resignation of Adebayo Adelabu, who left the Minister of Power position to pursue a governorship ambition in Oyo State.

The Senate's confirmation reflects the ongoing efforts to fill key government positions within the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
