Senate Confirms Joseph Tegbe and Sola Enikanolaiye as Ministers

On Tuesday, the Nigerian Senate confirmed the nominations of Joseph Tegbe as Minister of Power and Sola Enikanolaiye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, as requested by President Bola Tinubu. The confirmation followed a letter addressed to the Senate, which was read during a plenary session led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Joseph Tegbe, a former senior partner and head of advisory services at KPMG Africa, takes over the role of Minister of Power after the resignation of Adebayo Adelabu, who stepped down to pursue an electoral office in Oyo State. Sola Enikanolaiye, appointed as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, previously served as an ambassador and was a senior special assistant to the President on foreign affairs and international relations.
