Tinubu Appoints Bianca Ojukwu as Foreign Affairs Minister

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu as Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, succeeding Yusuf Tuggar, who has resigned from the position. This announcement was made through a statement by Tinubu's special adviser on strategic communications, Bayo Onanuga.

In addition to Ojukwu's appointment, Tinubu has nominated Sola Enikanolaiy as the new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, which is subject to Senate confirmation. Enikanolaiy has previously served as a senior special assistant to the president on foreign affairs and international relations and is recognized as a distinguished diplomat with over three decades of service in Nigeria's foreign service.

His prior roles include serving as a permanent secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and holding diplomatic positions in various countries, including Ethiopia, Serbia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and India.
